If you can’t connect to the Internet while connected to IPVanish VPN, this article will help you solve this issue.

IPVanish VPN is getting some backlash for this recent issue. But what most people don’t know is that IPVanish VPN is not the criminal here.

Some people are complaining about IPVanish VPN, saying that they can’t connect to the Internet after connecting to the VPN.

But in most cases, the IPVanish VPN doesn’t even cause this issue.

So let’s talk about this issue in detail.

What’s causing it?

Even though this issue is simple and easy to solve, it has several causes.

But all of these causes have solutions, so don’t worry.

If your internet does not work while connected to IPVanish VPN, this is the most common cause.  A slow Internet connection can cause any tab in your browser to fail to load.

Sometimes connecting to the wrong server might be the reason the Internet doesn’t work.

Some other causes can affect your Internet connection.

Solutions to this Issue

We covered almost all the causes that can affect your Internet connection while connected to an IPVanish VPN.

So let’s get to the solutions.

1. Inspect your main internet connection.

The first step in troubleshooting is to disconnect the device from IPVanish VPN and try to reconnect to the internet.

If you can successfully access and load webpages, reconnect to IPVanish and continue to the next step.

If you’ve disconnected the IPVanish VPN and are still unable to access the internet, then the issue seems to be with your ISP’s internet connection.

To resolve this issue, try resetting your router, rebooting the device, checking your network settings, or contacting your ISP.

2. Try Connecting to a different IPVanish server location.

If your internet connection is operational but you are still unable to access the internet after connecting to IPVanish, try connecting to a different IPVanish server in a different area.

We have a dedicated article on how to change your Server Location on IPVanish VPN.

If you can connect to the server, the connection problem may be temporary and related to the server location you first picked.

3. Change your VPN protocol

If you’ve tried steps one and two and still can’t access the internet while connected to the IPVanish VPN, try changing the VPN protocol you’re using to connect to our IPVanish servers.

Depending on the wifi connection or ISP you use, certain protocols may be blocked on their network.

Simply changing VPN protocols can resolve the problem and restore VPN access to the internet.

To change your VPN protocol, do the following:

1. Launch the IPVanish VPN on your device and sign in with your IPVanish username and password.
